Shadow - Lab Hound Mix
Administrator writes, "Shadow has been with Safe Harbor Animal Rescue since February of 2006. He was found loose with a tie out chain still attached to his collar. Shadow is probably 7 years old, and therefore qualifies for our senior care program which helps new adopters of our 7 years or older dogs and cats with vet services in our clinic."
He is possibly lab and hound with some other "unknown" heritage and is very mellow and quiet. He walks well on leash and has made great progress in our staff training classes, because at first he was just content to be calm, now he loves treats and will sit on cue for them! Shadow does ok around larger, calm dogs, but does not tolerate small or over-excited puppies or dogs. He loves people and would rather be that "only dog" that he won't have to share the couch with!
