Safe Harbor's Puppy Bear
provider writes, "Bear is an approximately eight week old chow mix puppy who was brought to Safe Harbor by a caring rescuer. Bear had been living in a wooded area near a mobile home park in West Palm Beach. A purebred adult female Chow had been seen in the area but had kept her distance from humans. He was initially coaxed over to a plate of food by a nearby resident. She continued to feed him regularly and slowly made friends with the pup. Finally, he trusted her enough to allow himself to be picked up and handled."
It is unknown at this time if other puppies are still out there but none have been spotted to date. Our caregiver is still on the lookout. But for Bear, the world has changed. He is no longer alone and abandoned. He is secure at Safe Harbor where he will be vaccinated, micro-chipped, sterilized and prepared for adoption into a loving new home.
