| MALTZ JUPITER THEATRE PRESENTS SUMMER SERIES |
admin writes, "The Maltz Jupiter Theatre will kick-off their 2006 summer series with performances by the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival and with an encore presentation of the rock and country legend, Leon Russell.
Additional performances to round out the summer include the South Florida local The Indian River Pops Orchestra; the alternative country music of Cross Canadian Ragweed; Jason Petty in Hank & My Honky Tonk Heroes; and the already announced Children’s Institute productions of The Frog Prince, School House Rocks, Jr! and the Jungle Book. "

2006 Summer Schedule
April 20-23 & 26-30 Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival presents What A Night! A French farce by Georges Feydeau, starring William Katt, star of TV’s Great American Hero. Showtimes are at 8 pm with a 2pm matinee on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $25 and students $10.
May 1 Leon Russell, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legendary singer/songwriter is known as a musical "Chameleon," because of his rock popularity with a country twist. Showtime is 8 pm, tickets are $27.50.
May 12 The Indian River Pops Orchestra. Musical Director Owen Seward leads the orchestra through The Golden Age of 1940's Radio. This fabulous new show, which simulates a live radio broadcast, will feature The Swing Sisters and clarinetist Paul Green. Showtime is 8 pm, tickets are $22.
June 9 – 11 Hank & My Honky Tonk Heroes. The musical revue takes audiences back in time to the very beginnings of country music and pays homage not only to Williams, but also to other country legends, such as Jimmie Rodgers, Roy Acuff, Ernest Tubb, Webb Pierce, and George Jones. Performances are June 9 at 8 pm, June 10 at 5 pm & 8 pm and June 11 at 3 pm - Tickets for the 8 pm shows are $27, and the 5 pm and 3 pm price is $22.
June 18 Cross Canadian Ragweed; Call it roots Rock, Americana, Alternative Country, Red Dirt, Texas Music, Hick Rock or even Y'alternative - whatever the label you put on it; Cross Canadian Ragweed is doing it. Ragweed is a powerful four-piece combo that has emerged out of the Texas / Oklahoma scene and is poised for success with their new release Highway 377. Like many of the "red dirt renegades" hailing from the Oklahoma flatlands, Ragweed is all about the music. Showtime is 8 pm, tickets are $28.
June 30 The Frog Prince presented by the Missoula Children’s Theatre and the Children’s Institute. It’s not easy being green, slimy, and in love! See this children’s program, presented by children in the Institute summer camp. Showtimes are 2 and 7 pm, tickets for adults are $10 and for children 12 and under $5.
July 14 School House Rock, JR.! Presented by the Children’s Theatre Institute Theatre Summer Camp students. Who knew grammar, math, science, and history could be so much fun! Showtimes are 2 and 7 pm, tickets for adults are $10 and for children 12 and under $5.
July 21 The Jungle Book presented by the Missoula Children’s Theatre and the Children’s Institute. Ever been abandoned in the jungle, adopted by wolves, taught by a bear, befriended by a panther and chased by a tiger? Don’t miss this children’s program, presented by children in the Institute summer camp. Showtimes are 2 and 7 pm, tickets for adults are $10 and for children 12 and under $5.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened in February, 2004 as a 550-seat, nonprofit community-based professional regional theatre and is a member of the prestigious League of Resident Theatres. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is located at 1001 Indiantown Road and A1A in Jupiter.
