Single tickets for A Christmas Story start at $27 and run through $45; students are only $15. Individual tickets for all five theatrical plays for the general public go on sale Friday, August 4 at 10 AM.
For Christmas in July the theatre will be adorned with a 1940’s theme, holiday decorations, music and, of course, snow shovels for the forecasted snow. There will be Christmas carolers and baked goods to boot. In addition, the movie version of A Christmas Story will run continuously throughout the festivities. In the spirit of the season and in keeping with the 1940’s setting for the play, Pepsi will be on sale for only a nickel.
Boys and girls ages 6 – 13 are encouraged to join in on all the fun holiday festivities and audition for the six paid roles to be cast. Children will be asked to improvise and to read from the script. In order to be considered for the cast, children must be available to rehearse and for all performances. Rehearsals begin November 28; the show runs December 19 through 30 (No shows on December 25).
Christmas in July auditions and festivities will all take place beginning at noon on July 31 at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre at 1001 East Indiantown Road and A1A in Jupiter.
