| Charlie and the Chocolate Factory |
moviecritic writes, "Willy Wonka's (Johnny Depp) plan to spruce up his chocolate business is to plant five golden tickets randomly in his Wonka bars inviting the holders to a tour of his factory. For poor Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore, "Finding Neverland"), chances for a ticket are slim, but luck is on his side; joining spoiled Veruca Salt (Julia Winter), competitive Violent Beauregard (Annasophia Robb), perpetually consuming Augustus Gloop (Philip Wiegratz), and violent Mike Teavee (Jordon Fry), Charlie meets Wonka, the reclusive, eccentric fellow behind the delights of his factory. As the tour commences, weird things start happening to the selfish, misbehaving children, leaving Charlie alone to deal with Wonka's bizarre behavior, and to try to help him out."

| Batman Begins |
moviecritic writes, "The last time we saw Batman in action he was wearing a rubber suit with nipples, had Elle Macpherson for a girlfriend, strolled around a neon-infested landscape, and fought ultimate evil in the form of Arnold Schwarzenegger (his weapon of choice being puns). Things were not well in Gotham. Eight years later, DC Comics and Warner Brothers, weary of constantly being left in the dust as Marvel chalks up win after win (the glorious "Spider-Man" and "X-Men" franchises), return to the silver screen with the definitive caped crusader adventure, "Batman Begins." | Herbie: Fully Loaded |
moviecritic writes, "Maggie Peyton (Lindsay Lohan) is the only girl in a family of NASCAR drivers (including Breckin Meyer). Unable to realize her dreams of speed, Maggie is resigned to a quieter life after her graduation from college. As a gift, her father (Michael Keaton) offers her any car in a nearby junkyard to restore, leading Maggie to an unusually expressive Volkswagen Beetle named Herbie. With a souped-up Herbie and an old friend (Justin Long) urging her to quench her thirst for racing, Maggie agrees, and soon finds herself going head to head with NASCAR champ Trip Murphy (Matt Dillon) in the most unlikely vehicle the sport has ever witnessed. | Turtles Can Fly |
moviecritic writes, "In the village of Iraqi Kurdistan, on the border between Iran and Turkey, orphaned children lead very adult lives as they try to survive the looming days before the U.S. invasion of Iraq is set to begin. The leader of these children is Satellite (Soran Ebrahim), a kind of cable repairman figure for the local villages. As he travels around installing dishes and antennae, a young, silent girl catches his eye. The mysterious girl (Avaz Latif), wandering the countryside with her armless, seemingly clairvoyant brother (Hirsch Feyssal) and a toddler, has a death wish and doesn't respond to Satellite's advances. As doom approaches this fragile region of the world, Satellite gets lost in his own daily struggles, unaware of the tragedy that lies before him. "

| Hostage |
moviecritic writes, ""Hostage" starts off with a bang after some stylish but familiar opening credits (I'm looking your way "Panic Room"). Opening on a bushy-bearded Bruce Willis smack dab in the middle of a tense L.A. hostage situation, the film sets off on the right foot of suspense, catastrophe, and thriller theatrics. The picture appears to understand its straightforward charms, utilizing highly charged anxiety for a rock 'em, sock 'em launch that promises so much. Eventually, "Hostage" splits into three movies. "

| Millions |
moviecritic writes, "After the death of their mother, 7 year-old Damien (a fantastic Alexander Nathan Etel) and his older brother Anthony (Lewis Owen McGibbon) move out to the English suburbs with their father (James Nesbitt) to start a new life. While playing near train tracks one day, Damien comes across a bag filled with money and concludes that God sent it down to him so he could help the poor. He informs his brother of the situation, and the two begin to spread the wealth; Damien to whomever he can help, and Anthony to himself. But as soon as Damien begins to see greed taking over his deeds, a violent man comes calling, claiming ownership of the money. "
