This family-friendly community race combines fitness\, fun\, and a powerful mission: supporting critical marine research and conservation efforts along Florida’s Treasure Coast. \nSet against the charming streets and scenic backdrop of Abacoa\, the Mullet Run welcomes participants of all ages for a spirited 5K that goes far beyond race day. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Saltwater Guides Association (ASGA)\, a leading nonprofit dedicated to protecting marine resources through science-driven fisheries management and conservation-based research. \nRunning for the Future of Florida’s Waters\nWhat makes the Mullet Run especially meaningful is its direct connection to cutting-edge ocean science. Funds raised will support ASGA’s initiative to enhance the region’s acoustic receiver network\, an important tool used in acoustic telemetry research. \nThese underwater tracking arrays allow scientists to monitor the movement and migration patterns of marine species such as: \n\n\nFish and game species \n\n\nDolphins \n\n\nSea turtles \n\n\nManta rays \n\n\nAnd other ocean wildlife \n\n\nThe data collected is shared through a collaborative research network\, helping scientists and conservationists better understand—and protect—the ecosystems that make Florida’s coastal waters so unique. \nRace Day Perks & Community Fun\nParticipants won’t just be supporting a great cause—they’ll also take home some memorable race-day extras. The first 150 registered runners will receive a premium custom “Mullet Run” Elevate Lightweight Tee\, courtesy of Free Fly Apparel.
