• Florida Bicycling Street Smarts Written by John Allen with Florida portions produced by the Florida Bicycle Association, this book was made possible through funding from the Florida "Share the Road" license plate program, and from the State Safety Office of the Florida Department of Transportation. • Florida Vehicle Code Sections of the code pertaining to bicycles. We've summarized; for the official version you'll have to dig through the code here.  Also see (below) an Adobe Acrobat pdf copy of the booklet we created for Florida law enforcement officers.

• Florida Bicycle Law Enforcement Guide This booklet was created specifically to help familiarize law enforcement officers with portions of the Florida vehicle code that relate to two-wheeled human-powered vehicles.

• Bicycle Crashes—Know and Protect Your Rights This article by Jacksonville attorney and long-time cyclist Christopher Burns provides a step-by-step process to follow if you've been in an accident. Another excellent multipart series on the many facets of crash recovery can be found in the FBA Messenger beginning with the Winter 2003 issue.

• Off-road Code of Conduct Some common and not so common sense rules for how you should treat others and the environment when you head into the woods.

• How Far Right...Is Right? The Bicyclist's Legal "Grounds for Taking the Lane" An essay by current FBA president Mighk Wilson on statutory basis for moving out from the "as close to the right edge of the roadway as practicable" path designated for bicycles when the roadway is too narrow to safely share with motorized vehicles.

• Freedom from Fear Mighk Wilson again with a thoughtful, well-written study of perception vs. reality based on extensive research and many miles of experience on the roadways.
