Get ready for a tail-wagging morning in Downtown West Palm Beach at Dachstoberfest 2026!

This fun-filled community event celebrates dachshunds, dogs of all kinds, and the local pet-loving community while raising support for Dachshund Rescue South Florida, a 501(c)(3) foster-based nonprofit rescue organization.

And while dachshunds may be the stars of the show, all dogs are welcome!

Spend the morning meeting fellow dog lovers, cheering on the racers, showing off your pup’s best costume, and enjoying plenty of Halloween-themed fun.

Event Schedule

9:00–10:00 AM — Social Hour
Meet other dog owners, mingle with fellow dachshund fans, and let your pup make some new friends.

9:00–10:30 AM — Race Practice
Future racers can get warmed up and ready for the big Doxie Dash.

9:30–10:30 AM — Costume Contest

Costume categories include:

10:45 AM–12:20 PM — Doxie Dash 2026
Cheer on the dachshunds as they race toward the finish line during one of the morning’s most anticipated events.

Benefiting Dachshund Rescue South Florida

Dachstoberfest supports Dachshund Rescue South Florida, a foster-based nonprofit dedicated to helping dachshunds in need.

The event is organized by Friends of Peanut, a private small-dog boarding service, and the Palm Beach Dachshund Club, which hosts monthly dachshund meetups throughout Palm Beach County and surrounding areas.

Whether you have a dachshund, another four-legged friend, or simply love dogs, come out for a festive morning of costumes, racing, community and fun for a great cause.
