Turtle Creek Club stands as one of South Florida's premier golf destinations, located in the picturesque Tequesta/Jupiter area. Originally designed by the renowned Joe Lee in 1969, the course has always been regarded as one of his greatest achievements. Lee envisioned a layout that appeals to golfers of all skill levels—welcoming to casual players yet challenging enough for seasoned pros.
The course underwent its first major transformation in 2003 with a conversion to Paspalum grass on tees, fairways, and roughs, and Tifeagle greens. During this renovation, Lee also prioritized enhancing playability by clearing undergrowth, palmetto bushes, and trees to create a more open, accessible layout.
In 2016, Turtle Creek Club underwent a comprehensive modernization led by acclaimed local architect Kipp Schulties. This renovation updated the course while preserving its original character, introducing Bermuda Celebration grass for tees, fairways, and roughs, while the greens retained the trusted Tifeagle surfaces. Schulties’ work enhanced the open fairways and refined the challenging greens, solidifying Turtle Creek’s reputation as a masterpiece of strategic design.
Today, the course offers a dynamic experience that evolves with every round. Ongoing improvements focus on increasing challenges for skilled golfers while adding "play it forward" opportunities for more casual players. Since its reopening in November 2016, the revitalized Turtle Creek Club has proudly hosted a variety of sectional and local amateur and professional championships, underscoring its status as a top-tier venue.
With its exceptional course, welcoming membership, and dedication to excellence, Turtle Creek Club offers an unforgettable golfing experience. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or an occasional player, every visit promises a fresh and rewarding challenge.
