Bring your little nature lovers to the River Center for Blooming in the Garden, a hands-on outdoor program designed especially for children ages 3–6.

This month’s theme is Butterflies! Families will begin the morning with story time and a nature-themed craft before heading outside to the garden for exploration, discovery, and hands-on fun. Children will have the chance to learn about butterflies, enjoy time in nature, and connect with the garden in a playful and age-appropriate way.

At the end of the program, each child will receive seeds to take home so they can start their very own garden.

This free children’s program is a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy nature together while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and outdoor learning.

Important Details:
Space is limited, so registration is requested only for families who plan to attend. If you register and are unable to make it, please let the River Center know so the spot can be opened for another family.

This activity takes place outside, so children should dress comfortably and be prepared to possibly get a little messy. All equipment will be provided.
