Tai Chi in the Wild
Tai Chi in the Wild at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary
Slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature during Tai Chi in the Wild at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary on Wednesdays from 6:00–7:00 PM.
Surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the sanctuary, participants will be guided through the gentle, flowing movements of Tai Chi — an ancient practice that combines movement, breath, balance, and mindfulness.
The class is designed to help improve stability, flexibility, coordination, and relaxation while reducing stress. Tai Chi is suitable for a wide range of ages and experience levels, making it an approachable wellness practice for beginners and longtime practitioners alike.
Some traditional Tai Chi postures are inspired by animals, with names such as Crane Spreads Its Wings, Grasp the Sparrow’s Tail, Repulse Monkey, Return Tiger to Mountain, and Snake Creeps Down.
