4 new playgrounds coming to Jupiter, Fl

Four New Playgrounds Are Coming to Jupiter. Here’s a First Look.

The Town of Jupiter is in the middle of one of its largest playground improvement programs ever, with four brand-new playgrounds breaking ground this summer as part of a multi-year effort to modernize parks across the community.

At the July 7 Town Council meeting, Parks & Recreation Director Kristen George announced that construction had officially begun.

“Today we just broke ground on one of four new playgrounds that are breaking ground this month.”

The projects are part of the Town’s Playground Renovation Roadmap, which is replacing aging playgrounds with modern, inclusive designs featuring new equipment, additional shade, improved accessibility, and safer play surfaces.

Here’s Where the New Playgrounds Are Coming

🛝 Abacoa Community Park

Located on Frederick Small Road, Abacoa Community Park is one of Jupiter’s busiest family parks. The redesigned playground will include updated climbing structures, modern slides, shade canopies, and accessible play features that better serve children of all abilities. Construction is expected to finish in early Fall 2026.

🛝 Heights of Jupiter Park

The Heights neighborhood will receive a complete playground replacement with all-new equipment, upgraded safety surfacing, and additional shaded play areas. The project is also scheduled for completion in early Fall 2026.

🛝 Jupiter Community Center Playground

The playground adjacent to the Jupiter Community Center is also receiving a full renovation. Families can expect modern equipment designed for a wider range of ages along with improved accessibility and new gathering spaces. Construction is expected to wrap up in early Fall 2026.

🛝 Daily Park

Daily Park is the fourth playground scheduled for replacement this year. Construction will begin slightly later than the others, with work expected to start in late summer and finish by the end of 2026.

A Town-Wide Playground Makeover

These four projects are the next phase of a larger investment in Jupiter’s parks.

Already completed in 2025:

  • ✅ Indian Creek Park (Phase I)
  • ✅ Jupiter Community Park
  • ✅ Maplewood Park

Still ahead:

  • Splash pad at Indian Creek Park (planned for 2027)
  • New restroom building at Indian Creek Park
  • Playground improvements at FIND Park in a future phase

What Families Can Expect

The new playgrounds are being designed with a consistent focus on:

  • Modern, inclusive playground equipment
  • Additional shade structures
  • ADA-accessible layouts
  • Artificial turf safety surfacing
  • New swings and climbing features
  • More interactive and imaginative play experiences

More Than Just Playgrounds

The playground replacements are only one part of a busy year for Jupiter Parks & Recreation.

During the July Town Council meeting, Director Kristen George noted the department is handling one of the largest volumes of park improvements in its history, including:

  • Athletic field replacements at Jupiter Community Park
  • New beach showers
  • Beach drainage improvements
  • Expanded recreation programming

George credited the Town Council’s continued investment in parks for making these projects possible.

The Bottom Line

By the end of 2026, four more Jupiter parks will have completely transformed playgrounds, continuing the Town’s long-term plan to modernize every major playground while creating safer, more inclusive places for local families to gather and play.

For parents with young children, it’s shaping up to be an exciting year in Jupiter’s parks.
