Furry Friends Summer Series

Furry Friends Summer Series Offers Hands-On Animal Education for Kids in Jupiter

Unleash Creativity and Compassion This Summer!

Looking for a meaningful and fun summer activity for your child? Furry Friends is inviting young animal lovers to participate in its Summer Series, a collection of 2 hour hands-on educational workshops designed for children and their caregiver. Recommended for ages 6-12.

Hosted at the nonprofit’s Jupiter campus, these 2-hour workshops provide caregiver and child pairs the opportunity to explore unique weekly themes, including pet-themed Art, hands-on Jr. Pet Vet activities, and animal Enrichment- plus of course, animal time.

Whether your child dreams of becoming a veterinarian, loves animals, or simply wants a unique summer experience, the Furry Friends Summer Series offers an educational and rewarding way to spend part of their summer.

Good to Know: Each workshop requires an accompanying adult, and while the suggested donation is $15 per class, scholarships are available to ensure every child has the opportunity to participate. Advance registration is required as space is limited.

Mind, Body, and Paws

Learn to create engaging enrichment items for dogs and cats, including toys and treats, that play a direct role in helping our furry friends play, explore, and thrive!

Storytime

A cozy storytime experience featuring animal-themed books, followed by a fun activity or craft. Designed for little ones ages 5 and under. Select Fridays all summer long! Free admission.

More Than Just a Summer Program

Unlike traditional summer programs, the Furry Friends Summer Series gives children the chance to learn directly from animal welfare professionals while making a positive impact on the lives of shelter pets. Participants gain valuable life skills, develop compassion, and discover how they can help animals in their own communities.

The workshops are designed to inspire the next generation of animal advocates through interactive learning, hands-on projects, and meaningful experiences that connect children with animals and the people who care for them.
