🎬 Movies, Magic & Memories: “Films on the Field” Returns to The Gardens
Few things capture the spirit of community like a movie night under the stars — and this winter, that magic returns as Films on the Field lights up the evenings at The Gardens North County District Park.
Beginning in November 2025 and running through February 2026, this free outdoor movie series invites families, friends, and neighbors to gather on Field 10 for a lineup of beloved films and themed fun. Each month, the park transforms into an open-air theater where moviegoers can spread out their chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets for a cozy evening of cinematic adventure.
🌟 A Season of Family Favorites
The series kicks off on Friday, November 7, with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (PG) — the film that started it all. Before the movie, young witches and wizards can get sorted into Hogwarts houses, pose for magical photo ops, and enjoy treats from Chick-fil-A and Auntie Anne’s. Costumes are encouraged, so don’t forget your robes and wands for a truly spellbinding start to the season.
Next up, on Friday, December 5, holiday cheer fills the field with Elf (PG). In true Buddy the Elf fashion, “the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!” Guests can enjoy dinner from Chick-fil-A and Kona Ice, plus a free holiday cookie from the Recreation Elf while supplies last. From twinkle lights to laughter, it’s a night sure to warm every heart.
As the new year begins, Friday, January 2 brings tropical vibes to the park with Lilo & Stitch (PG). Families can meet Stitch for photos, then kick back for a feel-good night of food, fun, and friendship. Dinner and snacks will again be available from Chick-fil-A and Auntie Anne’s, keeping everyone fueled for an evening of island adventures.
Finally, the series wraps up on Friday, February 6, with the action-packed How to Train Your Dragon (PG). Kids can meet a friendly Viking, take home their very own mini dragon (while supplies last), and cheer on Hiccup and Toothless as they soar across the big screen.
