Friends of Jupiter Beach-Beach Cleanup
This is your chance to make a positive impact on our beautiful coastline, connect with new friends, and enjoy a fun and fulfilling morning.
Event Details:
- When: Saturday, 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Where: Ocean Cay Park
- Southeast corner of US Hwy. 1 at 2188 Marcinski Road
- Anita Lankler Pavilion, facing the beach road
What to Expect:
- Clean a 2.5-mile stretch from the Juno Beach Pier to the southern edge of Carlin Park (crossovers 22–59).
- Return by 9:30 AM to enjoy breakfast foods, drinks, great company, and free prizes!
Note: Beach cleanups will be canceled in case of rain or dangerous weather. Updates will be posted on their Facebook page. If canceled, there will be no rescheduling—see you next month!
What to Do When You Arrive:
- Sign In: Get your free prize ticket.
- Gear Up: Pick up gloves, grabbers, and small bags (provided by us).
- Join a Team: Follow the instructions of Team Captains (wearing orange shirts) for your cleanup area.
- Some areas may require walking, others driving.
- Cleanup locations include the beach, walkways, under crossovers, parking areas, and the park.
- Recycle: Separate recyclables as you clean.
Additional Information:
What to Wear:
- Closed-toe shoes, hats, sunscreen, and bug spray (no flip-flops).
- Protect your arms and legs.
Cleanup Instructions:
- Leave filled bags by trashcans on the sidewalk, not on the beach or road.
- Assist Team Captains in transferring items to large black or blue recyclable bags.
For Groups:
- Organized groups must contact us at hello@friendsofjupiterbeach.org. Our group coordinator will provide additional details.
Registration:
- No pre-registration required for individuals.
- Students seeking community service credit must check in by 8:00 AM to earn 2 hours of credit.
To ensure a great experience for all, group sizes are limited to 25.
