September 5th-7th
Weβve got a few things on the radar this week β literally and figuratively. π First up, the disturbance weβve been watching, 91L, has officially been tagged as an invest. Forecasters say itβs on track to become our next named storm, Gabrielle, as it makes its way across the Atlantic. Still early days and the models need better data, but for now, it looks like it could be nearing the Caribbean islands in about a week. Definitely one to keep an eye on.
On the home front, the Jupiter Town Council met this past week and made progress on establishing a temporary fire station at Abacoa Community Park, slated to be in operation by October 1, 2026. The meeting also brought a legislative update from Mike Caruso, now serving as Palm Beach County Clerk of Court and Comptroller, and touched on community concerns like safety near schools and ongoing road construction headaches. π§
And speaking of community β wow, did everyone show up for the first annual Whatever Floats Your Boat Paddle Challenge 2025! Hosted by Blueline Surf & Paddle at Guanabanas Island Restaurant & Bar, the creativity, team spirit, and DIY boat-building were next level (and yes, most of them actually stayed afloat π£). This one was such a hit, theyβve already announced the 2nd Annual Challenge for September 5, 2026. Mark your calendars β and check out the highlight reel on our socials! π₯
