Celebrate World Oceans Day by joining in for a shoreline cleanup event! Help protect marine life and preserve natural beauty by removing litter and marine debris, which will be documented and reported to global databases.

About the Event
Spend up to two hours enjoying a self-guided walk along the scenic trails and shoreline of Blowing Rocks Preserve while collecting debris that has washed up or been left behind. Every piece you pick up contributes to cleaner oceans and safer habitats for wildlife.
Upon arrival, volunteers will receive guidance and cleanup supplies from preserve staff. You’re welcome to participate for any length of time during the event hours.
☀️ What to Bring & Expect
Be prepared for sun, sandy terrain, and possible wet feet
Bring 1–2 reusable water bottles; a refill station will be available
Light to moderate physical activity involved
Suitable for ages 6 and up
