Crafting for Conservation
Crafting for Conservation
On Sunday, January 4, residents will have a chance to get creative while giving back to the environment at Crafting for Conservation, a hands-on art experience centered around cyanotype printing. The historic photographic process, known for its striking blue-and-white imagery, uses sunlight to transfer natural shapes onto fabric. Participants will design their own reusable canvas bags by arranging leaves, flowers, and other organic materials, then letting the Florida sun do the rest.
The event blends art, education, and environmental stewardship, offering attendees a one-of-a-kind keepsake while supporting wildlife and conservation efforts. Organizers say the workshop is designed for all skill levels, making it an accessible way for the community to connect with nature and learn about sustainable practices through creativity.
