The Spring 2025 Hook Kids on Fishing Clinic event is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hobe Sound Nature Center, located at 13640 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL 33455.
Hosted by Anglers for Conservation, this hands-on, educational program is designed for children aged 5 to 15. Participants will learn essential fishing skills, including:
Casting techniques
Knot tying
Fishing safety
Catch and release practices
Understanding fish habitats
Conservation principles
Instruction is provided by professional guides, experienced anglers, and scientists, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.
Interactive fishing lessons tailored for kids
Hands-on demonstrations of sustainable fishing practices
Engaging talks on coastal conservation
Opportunities for children to practice their new skills in a supportive environment
Fee: $5.00 per family
