This all-day celebration gives families and wildlife lovers a chance to welcome Opal while enjoying special activities, games, crafts, and everything the Nature Center has to offer.

Welcome Opal!

The star of the celebration is Opal, the Nature Center’s newest wildlife ambassador. Stop by throughout the day to help give her a warm Hobe Sound welcome while learning more about opossums and the important role they play in Florida’s ecosystem.

The Hobe Sound Nature Center offers indoor wildlife exhibits and opportunities to explore the surrounding Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge, making this a fun outing for nature lovers of all ages.

The Nature Center operates rain or shine, so even if a few showers pop up, there will still be plenty to see and do.

Bring the kids, meet Opal, enjoy some opossum-themed activities, and spend the day celebrating one of Florida’s most interesting native animals!
