This one-day course focuses on the vital ecological role of sea turtles and provides both academic instruction and hands-on diving experiences. Students will gain insights into sea turtle biology, threats they face, and how divers can contribute to their conservation.
Location Significance: Jupiter, FL is renowned for having the second-highest sea turtle nesting population in the world.
Nesting Season: Best chance to see sea turtles is between March and October.

Green turtle
Loggerhead turtle
Hawksbill turtle
Leatherback turtle (rarely seen)
The course is offered in partnership with Loggerhead Marinelife Center, a leader in sea turtle education and conservation. Jupiter Dive Center supports ongoing conservation and public education efforts.

Gear: Divers must bring their own surface marker buoy and computer
