Since its inception in 1981, legendary trumpeter and bandleader Bobby Rodriguez has led one of South Florida’s premier jazz ensembles — a dynamic 18-piece all-star Jazz Big Band. Over the decades, this powerhouse group has graced the stages of the region’s most prestigious music festivals, elegant black-tie galas, conventions, and high-profile fundraisers.
Renowned for their versatility and energy, the band’s repertoire spans a wide musical spectrum — from the swinging rhythms of Big Band Swing and the intricate lines of Bebop, to the infectious grooves of Latin jazz and popular contemporary hits. Bobby himself adds a special touch to performances with heartfelt renditions of classic tunes from the Great American Songbook, showcasing his talents as both a trumpeter and vocalist.
