Teen Surf Wellness Clinic
🏄♂️ Teen Surf Wellness Clinic – Ride, Reset & Reconnect
When: Saturday, November 22 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Where: Carlin Park, Jupiter, FL
What’s It All About
This morning clinic is designed especially for teens — a space where surfing meets mindfulness and movement. Whether you’re catching your first wave or simply looking for somewhere you belong, this event offers:
-
A surf-therapy experience in Jupiter’s ocean waters
-
Mindful, ocean-inspired movement and breathwork
-
Space to reset mentally (especially helpful heading toward the holiday rush)
-
Community and connection: meet other teens and supportive facilitators
Who’s It For
If you’re a teen (or know a teen) looking to:
-
Try something new, fun, and active
-
Use movement + nature to support mental wellness
-
Connect with peers in a supportive, non-judgmental setting
… then this clinic is a strong match. All skill levels are welcome — you don’t need to be an experienced surfer.
Why It Matters
According to Stoked On Life’s mission, surf-and-ocean-based therapy taps into what they call the “Blue Mind” effect — the calming, restorative benefits our brain and body get from being around, in, or on water. They pair licensed therapists, surf coaches, and trauma-informed practice so that this isn’t “just selfies on the beach” — it’s intentional wellness in a natural setting. Practical Info & Tips
-
Drop-ins welcome — you can show up even if you haven’t pre-registered (but arriving a little early is smart).
-
Insurance reimbursement available — the organizers note this to make it easier for families.
-
What to bring: swimsuit or board-shorts, towel, sunscreen, water bottle, maybe a change of clothes.
-
Meet at Carlin Park — arrive a few minutes early to check-in, get oriented, and meet the team.
-
Arrive with an open mind — the focus is as much on the surf experience and being in nature as it is on catching waves.
-
Weather/back-up plan: If the ocean or weather doesn’t cooperate, the group may adapt the surf to more of a mindfulness + movement shore-based practice.
Why It’s Worth It
In the flurry of end-of-year events, extra homework, holiday pressures, and screen time — this event offers a different kind of reset. Getting into the ocean, moving intentionally, breathing with the waves — these are simple, powerful ways to recharge. And for teens especially, the opportunity to connect with others who are doing something different rather than just scrolling can make a real difference.
