Loggerhead Marinelife Center continues its popular By the Sea Lecture Series with a special evening presentation by Dr. Collin P. Ward of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. This after-hours lecture offers adults a chance to hear directly from a leading marine scientist while enjoying the relaxed, scenic setting of the Center’s Sky Deck.

Dr. Ward’s research focuses on marine chemistry and ocean processes, including how sunlight and natural reactions affect plastics and other pollutants in marine environments. His work has important implications for ocean health, coastal ecosystems, and long-term environmental stewardship.
